25D Cyber Network Defender
The Army Cyber Network Defender (MOS 25D) is a military occupational specialty (MOS) that was established in 2013 to address the growing threat of cyber attacks. The position involves performing specialized computer network defense duties.
The responsibilities of a 25D include: Protecting and detecting unauthorized activity in cyberspace Supporting infrastructure Providing incident response Installing and administering defense measures such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems Assessing threats and vulnerabilities within the network environment
The training for a 25D is 14 weeks long and is both classroom and hands-on. The training takes place at Fort Gordon, GA.
To become a 25D, you must meet the following requirements: Minimum score of 105 in GT and ST OPAT rating of Moderate TOP SECRET clearance Remain eligible to receive security access of TOP SECRET with SCI
