8H000 Airmen Dorm Leader

8H000 is the Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) for Airmen Dorm Leaders (ADLs). ADLs are responsible for: Managing unaccompanied housing Supporting the development of new Airmen Guiding new Airmen at their first base Maintaining dormitories Mentoring new Airmen Answering questions The Air Force Job Qualification Standard (AFJQS) identifies the tasks and duty requirements for ADLs. The AFJQS also provides the training requirements and standards necessary to manage unaccompanied housing. ADLs are a special duty position created to support new Airmen after they complete their technical training.
