651X Supply Corps LDO
In the U.S. Navy, Supply Corps Limited Duty Officers (LDOs) are technical specialists in the field of supply. They ensure that sailors around the world have everything they need to do their job.
LDOs are former enlisted technicians. They are experts and leaders in their technical specialty. They can rise up to captain, O-6, but are barred from making admiral.
To become an LDO, applicants must: Be former enlisted technicians Have completed 8 years of restricted officer service Complete 6 months of Supply Corps school before first assignment
There are no specific degree requirements to apply for Supply Corps, but preferred degrees are: Business related (supply chain management, logistics, etc.) STEM degrees
Supply Corps officers can attain the highest rank of three stars (Vice-Admiral).
