15R AH-64 Attack Helicopter Repairer
The Army MOS 15R is an AH-64 Attack Helicopter Repairer. They are responsible for maintaining and repairing the Army’s Apache helicopters.
Their duties include: Supervising and performing maintenance on AH-64 attack helicopters Removing and installing aircraft subsystem assemblies, such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, and transmissions Servicing and lubricating aircraft and subsystems Preparing aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks
The Army MOS 15R also serves as a Platoon Sergeant in an AH-64D Apache Longbow Helicopter Attack Reconnaissance Company. They are responsible for the supervision, discipline, and training of 10 Soldiers and two NCOs.
The Army MOS 15R has been a vital part of the Army’s combat missions since the introduction of the Apache AH-64 attack helicopters in 1986.
